Coaching
I create space for people to think deeply, discern wisely and act courageously.
I believe every person has been created with unique gifts, purpose and potential.
Too many people drift through life feeling stuck, overwhelmed or settling for less than they are capable of becoming.
Through coaching, I help people gain clarity, grow in courage and build the habits that lead to a life of meaning and impact.
I coach three main groups: Educators, Men and Teens.
Educators
Helping educators lead well, avoid burnout and rediscover purpose in order to ensure they have the largest impact they can have on our children and young people.
I help teachers and leaders with all school issues; from the tough to crack class to career trajectory and purpose. I have helped countless teachers lead with courage and confidence.
I am currently an Assistant Headteacher in a comprehensive school in South Norfolk serving 1700 pupils.
Men
Helping men become husbands, fathers and leaders of courage and character.
I help men who feel stuck gain clarity, take courageous action and become the husband, father and leader they know they're capable of being.
I help good men become the man they know they could be.
Teens
Helping young people make wise & courageous choices, build confidence and prepare for adulthood.
I help teens navigate significant moments in life with greater clarity, courage and purpose as they begin to process the question “Who am I?”.
Has there ever been a tougher time to be a teenager? With so many influences (and influencers) vying for our children’s attention and leading them I am passionate about seeing teenagers gain clarity, think wisely and take practical steps towards becoming who they were created to be.
Client Testimonials
Before I started working with Ed, I had recently found out that my job had funding for another 5 months. So, the job hunt began! It was a daunting proposition to find a job that matched my skill set, passions and financial needs, especially in the current job market.
Ed broadened my perspective - I wasn’t just looking for a new job, but I was navigating a significant life change. When everything seemed difficult and overwhelming, he helped me acknowledge the positives in my life. Ed helped break down the goal of finding a new job into small and manageable steps. We established new and consistent habits that helped build momentum towards achieving my goal.
Within a few months of working with Ed, I received an offer for a job that was a great fit for me. For those who are looking to make a significant life change, I would recommend Ed as a coach.
— James - Husband, Dad, Church LeaderI started work with Ed at a time when I was facing a lot of conflict in my marriage, often centred around ways that had failed to act lovingly and take responsibility in the past.
Ed was consistently able to help me reframe what I was facing as an opportunity and, over time, that is how we face even deeper issues, accept what has happened and move forward focus on what I can do in the present to love my wife. Ed's real gift was in helping me to accept responsibility in a way that led to hope, not to a sense of guilt.
This wasn't a magic bullet - there is still a lot of work needed - but it was a vital step along the path. I would recommend working with Ed to anyone who is feeling stuck and needs a mindset shift so they can start moving forward again.
— Noah – Husband, Dad, Tech LeaderBefore our session I was in a big life transition — stepping out of a high-pressure corporate product role, becoming a dad, and trying to work out what came next without sleepwalking into another job that didn't fit.
Ed coached with real warmth and skill: sharp questions, generous listening, and the discipline not to fill the space with his own answers. He helped me name what I was actually saying — that I didn't want another corporate vision to serve — and drew out a clearer thread around faith, family, and using technology for something that matters.
What stood out was how present and able he was. I left with more clarity and confidence about direction, and a genuine sense of having been carefully heard. It's an easy yes from me — I'd recommend Ed to anyone in a season of change who needs wise, spacious help to find their big picture.
— Louis – Husband, Dad, Tech Founder What does coaching look like for me?
There is a rhythm to every coaching session I have.
Before the session, I will send you four key questions to help you reflect on what is currently getting your attention.
We will then meet online or in person for between 90-120 minutes during which I will ask lots of questions, listen deeply and you will leave with some tangible and practical next steps.
We will also be in touch between the end of this session and the time I need to send any preparatory work.
If you have a particular one off challenge or specific issue I offer a Focused Coaching Session. For some clients, this allows them to grapple with what is getting their attention and leave with a plan of action to change their situation.
However, I firmly believe in journeying with people who want to grow or navigate a challenging season in their life over an extended period of time. As such, I typically operate with one of two six month options for people: ‘Foundations’ or ‘Flourishing Practice’.
Foundations
You'll build the foundations for a life of flourishing through six months of journeying together.
The vast majority of clients start here.
The Flourishing Practice
For those who wish to continue journeying together after completing ‘Foundations’.
